Cape Conran Coastal Park, in far East Gippsland about 420 km east of Melbourne, features brilliant snorkeling and diving at West Cape and Joiner's Channel. The West Cape dive sites are accessed from West Cape Beach, where granite headlands and sheltered inshore reefs create a rich underwater ecosystem. The area is part of a coastal park with sandy beaches, rocky headlands, and the nearby Beware Reef Marine Sanctuary offshore. Snorkelers can explore diverse marine habitats teeming with fish, invertebrates, and dramatic underwater rock formations just off the beach.
