Cape Banks is the rocky northern headland of Botany Bay, forming the dramatic seaward point of Kamay Botany Bay National Park in Sydney's La Perouse. The prime snorkeling spot is Cruwee Cove Beach — a sheltered sandy cove with aqua waters inside the Cape Banks Aquatic Reserve. The cove lies at the base of eroded sandstone cliffs, offering calm, protected conditions ideal for spotting fish and exploring rocky reef habitat. The walk in passes WWII bunkers, coastal heath, and panoramic views across to Kurnell. This is a wild, unpatrolled beach accessed via a scenic coastal trail, rewarding those who make the effort with excellent underwater visibility in summer.
