Tucked between the headland of Norries Head and the golden sweep of Cabarita Beach on the NSW North Coast, Little Cove is a protected, calm pocket of turquoise water sheltered from prevailing swells. The gentle, shallow gradient makes it a welcoming entry for snorkelers of all levels. The grassy Norries Headland park provides shade, picnic tables, and a backdrop of coastal forest, with the headland itself offering panoramic views. The permanent rip near the northern rocks demands awareness, but inside the cove itself the water is generally placid and clear.

Moderate risk: Rip current near northern rocks
A permanent rip current runs near the rocky outcrops at the northern end of Cabarita Beach, strongest on outgoing tides.
Low risk: Ocean swells and surf breaks
Cabarita Beach receives consistent ocean swells that can produce dumping waves and shifting rip channels, particularly outside the sheltered cove.
