Bubble Cave lies off North Solitary Island on the NSW North Coast, a 5 m deep cave where an air pocket collects at the ceiling — hence its name. Accessed by boat, this site features a series of rocky fingers and gullies descending to 15 m, with a dramatic cave entrance often swarming with fish. The surrounding gutters host thousands of anemones, clownfish species, nudibranchs, and the odd guineafowl moray eel. A nearby underwater trail (with plaques) and remnants of a 1988/89 shipwreck add to the adventure. Best suited to intermediate snorkellers and freedivers with boat access.
