Tucked deep inside Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park on the southwestern tip of Yorke Peninsula, Brown's Beach is a wild, surf-accessible snorkel spot sheltered by a beachrock reef roughly 50 metres offshore. This natural barrier creates a calmer gutter between sand and break, where salmon, mullet, and sweep school in the clear shallows. The carpark atop the hill delivers sweeping views of the beach and reef below. Access is via a 2WD-friendly gravel road, but the beach itself is remote, unpatrolled, and requires a reasonable fitness level to navigate the soft, coarse sand. A national park entry permit is required, and the nearby Browns Beach Campground offers seven quiet campsites for an overnight stay. Snorkellers can explore the reef gutter teeming with fish life, but must stay alert to ocean conditions and slippery rock hazards.
