Boltons Beach is a secluded east-coast gem on Tasmania's Little Swanport, just north of Triabunna and Orford. This sandy, family-friendly beach stretches over 4 km with shallow reefs just offshore that create calm, sheltered snorkeling conditions in temperate waters. The surrounding coastal scrub and proximity to Freycinet and Maria Island national parks make it a quiet escape for those seeking uncrowded waters, clear Tasmanian seas, and a relaxed beach day with fishing, swimming, and snorkeling all on offer.

Low risk: Cold water temperatures
Tasmanian east-coast waters are temperate year-round; a wetsuit (3–5 mm) is recommended for comfort.
Low risk: Shallow reef rocks
A cluster of shallow reefs sits just north of the lagoon entrance; low tide exposes rocks that can cause cuts or stumbles.
