Blyth Island is a tiny, uninhabited Australian sea lion sanctuary off the coast of the Eyre Peninsula, South Australia, accessible only by boat from Port Lincoln. This protected rocky island is fringed by seagrass meadows and clear temperate waters, offering an unforgettable snorkeling experience where curious and playful Australian sea lions (Neophoca cinerea) swirl, dive, and mimic your every move. The island's isolation and sanctuary status keep the wildlife interactions intimate and extraordinary — often described as "falling in love" rather than just snorkeling.
