Blue Bay (also known as Rick Dyball Blue Bay) is a sheltered snorkelling haven in Halls Head, Mandurah, on Western Australia's Peel coast. Protected by a boundary reef that tames the Indian Ocean swell, the bay offers calm, clear waters ideal for beginners and families. Rocky reef formations fringe the shoreline, creating a mosaic of shallow pools and deeper channels where marine life thrives. The beach is sandy and narrow, backed by coastal vegetation, with a floating pontoon offshore adding to the appeal. Its easy access from central Mandurah and consistently gentle conditions make it a favourite local escape for a relaxed underwater adventure.

Low risk: Outgoing tide current
The tidal flow from the Peel-Harvey Estuary can create a noticeable outward current near the reef edges during falling tides.
Low risk: Rocky reef edges
Sharp limestone reef edges and scattered rocks near the shore can cause cuts and scrapes if not careful when entering or exiting.
Low risk: Boat traffic
The bay is occasionally used by small boats and jet skis, particularly on weekends and public holidays.
Low risk: Boundary reef currents
Tidal currents can sweep around the boundary reef at higher flows, particularly during outgoing tides.
