Nestled within Beowa National Park on the NSW Sapphire Coast, Bittangabee Bay is a sheltered, rocky enclave with a small sandy beach that opens onto clear, calm waters — ideal for snorkelling. The bay's funnel-shaped geography offers protection from swell, creating a tranquil underwater playground. Surrounded by rugged coastal heath and with the historic Bittangabee campground steps away, the area brims with wildlife: lace monitors, wombats, and superb lyrebirds roam the bush, while migrating whales pass offshore between spring and autumn. The bay's rocky reef edges hold rays, octopus, and colourful temperate fish, making every snorkel a discovery.
