Getting in
Bird Island is located approximately 45 minutes south of Perth, off the coast of Rockingham. Access is by boat only, typically via guided wildlife snorkeling tours departing from Rockingham or Penguin Island. No public landing is permitted on the island itself.
Parking is available at the Rockingham foreshore or Penguin Island ferry car park (paid parking applies in peak season).
Guided snorkel tours range from $80-$150 per person depending on the operator and inclusions.
