Low risk: Tidal influence
Water depth over the reef changes significantly with the tide; extremely shallow at low tide, reducing swim clearance.
Low risk: 4WD vehicles on beach
Four-wheel drives access the hard sand near the beach; swimmers should avoid the designated swimming area to stay clear of vehicle traffic.
