Berrara Cove is a secluded, cliff-fringed pocket beach near the village of Berrara on the NSW South Coast. Sheltered by rocky headlands and fringed by casuarina trees, this calm cove offers excellent conditions for snorkelling, especially at high tide. Beneath the surface, fossil-encrusted rock shelves and shallow reefs teem with life, while the surrounding headlands invite rock-pool exploration. It's a quiet alternative to busier nearby beaches, with kangaroos often spotted grazing along the shoreline.

Low risk: Low tide shallow rocks
At low tide, rock shelves and reef become very shallow, making snorkelling difficult and increasing risk of scrapes.
Low risk: Ocean swell pulse
Southerly swells can wrap around the headlands, creating occasional surge and choppy conditions.
