Bastion Point is a rocky headland on the stunning coastline near Mallacoota in Victoria's remote East Gippsland region. This sheltered cove offers clear, calm waters protected from prevailing winds, making it a favorite local snorkeling spot. The rocky reef platforms and sandy patches create diverse underwater terrain to explore, with excellent water clarity on calm days. Part of the Croajingolong National Park and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the area is renowned for its pristine natural environment.

Getting in
Bastion Point is located approximately 5 km south of Mallacoota township off Bastion Point Road. Follow the Main Wharf / Bastion Point Road from Mallacoota to the coastal carpark at the end.
Dirt/gravel carpark available at the end of Bastion Point Road near the boat ramp area.
No fees required. Part of Croajingolong National Park.
