Bastion Point is a prominent rocky headland jutting into the Tasman Sea near Mallacoota, within the Croajingolong National Park — a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The point shelters a calm, sandy beach on its western side while exposing wave-washed rocky platforms along its southern edge. Snorkelers can explore shallow granite boulders, kelp beds, and rocky reefs teeming with fish. The protected bay offers clear conditions on calm days, making it a scenic entry into the pristine waters of Victoria's far east coastline.

  • Low risk: Sharp rocks and barnacles

Granite boulders and platforms are encrusted with sharp barnacles and molluscs that can cause cuts.
