Tucked along the eastern coast of Yorke Peninsula, Ardrossan's historic grain jetty offers a unique snorkeling experience beneath its towering timber pylons. The structure, originally used for loading grain ships, now attracts a wealth of marine life including crabs, nudibranchs, and diverse fish species. With depths around 5–6 metres and plenty of nooks and crannies among the pylons, this site provides an excellent, sheltered underwater adventure just 90 minutes from Adelaide. The adjacent parkland and striking red cliffs add to the scenic charm.

Low risk: Fishing activity
The jetty is an active fishing spot; anglers' lines and hooks pose a snagging hazard. Be aware of overhead fishing lines when surfacing.
Low risk: Pilings and structures
Timber pylons have barnacles and marine growth that can cause cuts and scrapes. Navigate carefully around the structure.
Low risk: Boat traffic
Vessels may approach the jetty area. Maintain situational awareness and surface well clear of any boating lanes.
