Aragunnu Bay is a stunning 500-metre crescent of sand nestled within Mimosa Rocks National Park on the NSW Sapphire Coast. Named after the steamer Mimosa, which struck rocks just north of the beach in 1863, this sheltered bay offers clear, temperate waters perfect for snorkelling and diving. The untamed coastline is framed by coastal mahogany and spotted with unusual standing stones, while the adjacent campground lets you roll out of your tent and straight into the water. It's a peaceful, uncrowded alternative to busier South Coast spots.

Moderate risk: Strong rips
Powerful rip currents can form along the beach, especially on an incoming tide. Swimmers and snorkellers should exercise caution.
Low risk: Sharp rocks
Submerged rocks near the shore present a laceration hazard when entering or exiting the water, particularly in swell.
Low risk: Surf conditions
The beach can pick up swell, creating challenging conditions for less experienced snorkellers, especially in the mornings.
