Angel Cave is a dramatic sea cave tucked into the basalt cliffs along Cape Schanck's rugged coastline on the Mornington Peninsula. Accessible via a scenic coastal trail from the Cape Schanck Lighthouse carpark, the cave features striking limestone formations, deep rock pools, and crystal-clear waters that open to Bass Strait. This wild, exposed site offers adventurous snorkelers a chance to explore a cathedral-like cavern carved by millennia of swell action, where filtered light dances across the rocky seabed. The surrounding marine sanctuary supports kelp beds and reef structures, though conditions change rapidly with tide and weather.
