Alexander's Beach is a quiet, dog-friendly stretch of sand on the outskirts of Ceduna, South Australia, along the dramatic coastline of the Great Australian Bight. This tidal beach offers wide expanses of firm sand at low tide and is a favourite spot for locals to swim, walk, and beachcomb. Its sheltered position means more relaxed waters on calm days, but the beach is strongly influenced by the Bight's powerful tidal swings and can be weedy in places. While it lacks the coral gardens of more famous spots, the raw coastal beauty, abundant seashells, and sense of seclusion make it a refreshing stop for a gentle snorkel or splash on a windless day.

Moderate risk: Strong Outgoing Tide Current
The beach is highly tidal with strong currents running out as the tide falls, which can sweep swimmers seaward.
Low risk: Weedy Areas
Seagrass and seaweed accumulations can make entry slippery and reduce visibility in patches.
Low risk: Windy Conditions
The Great Australian Bight coast is prone to strong onshore winds that can create choppy surf and reduce water clarity.
