Admin Wall is a spectacular sheer drop-off located within Flying Fish Cove on Christmas Island, one of the Indian Ocean's most renowned shore-accessible snorkel and dive sites. The seafloor slopes gently to about 9m before plunging dramatically down a vertical wall to 18m+, where massive schools of trevally, fusiliers, and reef sharks cruise the drop-off. The crystal-clear warm waters (25–30°C) and thriving coral-covered wall make this a world-class spot for snorkelers who can comfortably swim over deeper water. The biodiversity is breathtaking, with macro life on the wall and pelagic species passing by regularly.

Moderate risk: Sheer drop-off beyond depth range
The wall drops abruptly from 9m to 18m+. Snorkelers must be comfortable with deep water directly below them and avoid diving beyond their limits.
Low risk: Afternoon wind chop & currents
Snorkeling is best from morning to 10am before wind and currents pick up. Afternoon sea breezes can create challenging surface conditions.
Low risk: Boat traffic in Flying Fish Cove
Boat traffic from dive boats and local vessels moored in Flying Fish Cove requires awareness when surfacing.
